When it comes to Beast Boy, Robin, Cyborg, Raven, and Starfire, they haven’t seen the ’90s classic Space jam. Coincidentally, they are all owned by Warner Bros., and with a new Space jam film en route, it’s time for the Teens believe they can fly like Michael Jordan.
On June 20, Cartoon Network will broadcast Teen Titans Go! See Space Jam and that’s exactly what the title offers. It’s the Teen Titans watch 1996 movie Space jam and commenting on it, like Mystery Science Theater 3000. Now a trailer for the special has been released and we see there’s a bit more to it as well.
So the special is not fair going to be the teens watching the movie. There is a storyline above involving the villains of the first Space jam, the Nerdlucks, who rose to fame as the Monstars and faced off against Michael Jordan and the Looney Tunes in the original film. We must also think about the gags like the count of the buttocks and the break Space jam, there will be a bit of healthy humor about how dated everything is in Space jam is. Of all the NBA players on the VHS tape, it will be interesting to see how many the Teen Titans will be have heard of—Or if they keep making fun of it all.
Teen Titans Go! See Space Jam– featuring the voices of Scott Menville, Hynden Walch, Tara Strong, Greg Cipes, Khary Payton and more – will premiere Sunday, June 20 at 6 p.m. EST and PST on Cartoon Network.
