FromSoftware and George RR Martin’s “Elden Ring” Coming January 2022

It has been two long, long years since FromSoftware Ancient ring was first announced, and now we finally have a release date, as well as the announcement of its release on next-gen systems like the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X | S. It will land on Windows, PlayStation and Xbox on January 22, 2022.

Ancient ring is highly anticipated not only because it’s the next project from director Hidetaka Miyazaki from the infamous Souls games, but also because it’s a completely new world co-created by A Song of Ice and Fire scribe George RR Martin, with development assistance from the former Game of thrones Staff. (Not David Benioff and DB Weiss, we swear.) There are walking land masses, glowing trees, and plenty of nightmare creatures. And the dragons, of course. I must have dragons.

Summer Games Fest was our first look at a game, although there are no signs of big changes for Souls fans. And while we still don’t know what the “Elden Ring” is, the story still seems interesting enough to keep us going until The Winds of Winter comes out … when it is.
